Polar Bears,
North Swimming has taken the last two years off, combining with Hoover for a co-op team. This year North High School and DMPS have decided our middle school and club swimming numbers looked good enough over the last two years for us to have our own high school program this year.
While we appreciate Hoover accepting us for the last two seasons and the girls who have committed to the program during that time, we are really excited to have our own team back in the water at North this year.
We are trying to build on the participation over the last two seasons and be able to justify our own team for years to come. We need as many girls to participate as we can get, so please share this with your friends and help us try to get our numbers up. Swimmers don't need any experience, just a willingness to try!
This year is going to look, feel, and be very different than anything we have done in the past. It is a unique situation with school, swimming, and life.
We will try to get some normality and consistency into your life with regular swim practices. We want you to know we plan to take every precaution possible while still allowing girls to train for and learn the sport of swimming We have worked very hard to come up with a plan to keep athletes, coaches, and families as safe as possible.
All of the information you need to move forward is listed below. If you have more questions please feel free to call, text, or email and I can answer any questions you have.
